What to expect at the first visit

90-minute initial evaluation

Your first appointment is directly with Dr. Yang.

Understanding your concerns

Discuss what brought you in, your history, daily life, and what you hope will change. You do not need to know your diagnosis, and prior records are helpful but not required.

Options and next steps

Dr. Yang may share an initial understanding and discuss treatment options, which can include medication management and psychotherapy integrated into psychiatric care when appropriate. Options are explained before decisions are made.

Ongoing care

Follow-up timing is individualized. Medication changes or closer monitoring may call for visits within 1–2 weeks; during active treatment, many patients are seen about every four weeks, with visits spaced farther apart as symptoms become more stable.

Care is tailored to your needs, goals, and preferences. Follow-up may include medication management and brief supportive psychotherapy; longer visits can allow more focused psychotherapy when appropriate. Regular structured psychotherapy is usually best maintained with a separate therapist.

Payment estimate

We collect the estimated amount due at the start of each visit. After your insurer processes the claim, we refund any overpayment.
