In Dr. Yang’s words

Seeking psychiatric care is personal, and the first step is often the hardest. My goal is a respectful, unhurried space where you can speak openly and feel heard—where I understand your history, your daily life, and what matters most to you, not just a list of symptoms. I explain the options, including their limits, so we decide together.

Background and perspective

Born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Yang moved to the United States alone at eighteen to study in Nebraska, where Chinese was rarely spoken. Adapting to a new language, culture, and set of expectations continues to shape the way he listens to and works with patients.

He strives to offer a warm, respectful, and inclusive space where patients of all backgrounds—including LGBTQ+ patients and others navigating cultural expectations, identity, or belonging—can feel heard, understood, and involved in decisions about their care.

Why the name InnerGrove?

The name InnerGrove reflects Dr. Yang’s love of nature and the idea of inner growth. A grove offers shelter while each tree grows at its own pace. The aim of care is similar: a steady, supportive place where insight can take root and confidence can grow, even through difficult seasons.
